This is a remote, on-call role; however, applicants must currently live in Washington State due to program requirements.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Assists with implementation of Filming Interactions to Nurture Development (FIND), an evidence-based and strengths-centered coaching program that uses video to encourage caregivers’ developmentally supportive interactions with the children in their care. Edits and delivers films with detailed descriptions to FIND Coaches. Has access to protected healthcare information (PHI) or confidential identifiable information (CII), both paper and electronic, as necessary, to perform related job duties and responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Edits videos to demonstrate FIND elements, exercising discretion to select and prepare clips to facilitate coaching
• Follows editing guide and rubric to ensure fidelity to the program and quality video production
• Writes video descriptions to support clear understanding of the FIND elements
• Sustains positive communication and supportive relationships with FIND team
• Responds in a timely manner to questions and requests
• Maintains accurate documentation of films edited
• Participates in regular FIND team meetings and editing consultation
• Attains and maintains FIND Editor Certification through training and supervision
• Maintains confidentiality of data, including films, of children and caregivers in accordance with IRB and agency standards
Additional Duties that may be performed:
• May assist with project data collection
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
This job is performed remotely. It requires the ability to sit at a computer for an extended time. This is an on-call position. Hours vary according to the quantity of work available. The typical range for on-call editors is between 5-20 hours a month. There is flexibility for on-call editors to adjust their editing caseloads.
WORKING REMOTELY:
Working remotely is a benefit of Children’s Home Society of Washington’s flexible workplace, but remote work cannot be offered for all positions. Some positions require daily presence in the office. Remote work arrangements may be adjusted or rescinded based upon business needs.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard;
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
• Specific hearing abilities required by this job include wearing headphones to listen to video recordings
• Regular, predictable attendance is required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• 2-3 years related experience or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities required
• Experience working with children and families; including families experiencing poverty and/or inequities
• Successful completion of a criminal background check
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• BA/BS degree in, Early Childhood Education, Social Work or a related field
• Experience with video editing software
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (excellent writing skills in both languages)
SALARY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

The target starting pay for this position is $26.12 - $28.41 typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant’s pay history into account.
The range above allows our employees room for growth during their tenure in the position.
