SUMMARY: Ensures delivery of excellent customer service over the phone by providing professional and efficient communication and processing. First point of contact for the claims department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manages large quantities of inbound/outbound calls in a timely manner.
· Inputs new claims into claims system that are reported via telephone and online reporting.
· Identifies callers’ needs, clarifies information, researches every issue, and resolves call if appropriate.
· Identifies calls that need adjuster attention, transfers to adjuster, and escalates calls when appropriate per company standards.
· Provides excellent customer service to insureds, claimants, attorneys, and other callers.
· Responsible for appropriately handling the claims department e-mail.
· Assists claims management with various tasks and projects.
· Responsible for appropriately handling the claims document queues.
· Ensures current and complete documentation of claim notes.
· Assists and backs up other customer service representatives as needed.
· Meets personal/team qualitative and quantitative targets.
· Appropriately handles all inbound mail received.
· Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bilingual
· Prior auto insurance experience preferred
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Computer skills required: Microsoft Office, efficient typist.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
