The US base salary range for this position is 121-210K + benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities:
Seeking a Senior Biomedical Research Scientist/Engineer to serve as a Scientific Engineering Technical Advisor (SETA) to support an ARPA-H Program Manager and work in our Remote office.

Are you ready to support the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) in their mission to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone by supporting complex and leading-edge R&D projects designed to arrive at high-impact solutions to society's most challenging health problems?
In this role, you will bring your expertise in developing biosensors and multiplexed molecular assays to help build emerging programs and manage existing programs for a new ARPA-H Program Manager. Apply that expertise in sensor and analysis developments, including mathematical modeling and machine/deep learning to help conceptualize, create, and execute government funded research and development programs to meet ARPA-H’s mission to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone. These SETA duties include but are not limited to:
• Supporting the development and management of new and existing ARPA-H programs.
• Provide subject matter expertise in biosensors, multiplexed molecular assays for small molecule quantification, and machine/deep learning.
• Evaluate technical proposals for scientific merit and innovation. Provide feedback, organize reviewer comments, draft recommendations and project summaries, and presentation materials.
• Handle a wide variety of tasks, such as briefing support and general administrative actions.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
• Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science or related discipline, with expertise in developing biosensors and have breadth of expertise to assess technologies across a broad range of applications.
• Expertise in multiplexed molecular assays for small molecule quantification is needed, as is the development of data science pipelines for robust analysis of readouts.
• The ideal candidate will be within 1-5 years of graduate school completion, preferably having been involved both in sensor and analysis developments, including mathematical modeling and machine/deep learning.
• Intellectual curiosity, willingness to branch to new fields, capability to multi-task, strong writing and presentation skills are required.
• Initiative and the capability of being proactive are also required.
• Candidates should have strong technical writing skills, ability to communicate complex scientific ideas to broad audiences, digest basic and applied research across areas of biotechnology and apply to health capability gaps, and demonstrates a willingness to explore the scientific literature for emerging biotechnology.
Additional Experience:
• Excellent organization, communication, and coordination are required.
• Previous experience in providing direct support to an ARPA-style Program Manager in development of new program starts, and in the subsequent support of the source selection process is highly desirable.
