The national honor recognizes the top diverse healthcare executives and organizations influencing public policy, care delivery, and promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in their organizations and the industry.<br><br><strong>Position Summary</strong><br><br>The Access Center Representative Lead promotes an excellent patient experience by serving as team leader of an assigned work team within the Access Center while also performing the duties of a Access Center Representative. <br><br>This position is responsible for supporting the team by coordinating work and solving problems, educating, training and mentoring new employees, participating in interviews, and coordinating the staff schedule.<br><br>Location (e.g. remote or on-site): Remote<br><br>DHS Background Study Required? No<br><br><br><br>License/Certification/Registration required? No<br><br>Education: <br>*High School Diploma or GED required<br><br>Experience: <br>*Minimum four years of high touch customer service experience, preferably in a contact center environment.<br>*At least two years as a scheduler in a health care environment.<br>*Preferred experience: Minimum one-year experience providing work direction to a team.<br><br>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:<br>*Outstanding knowledge in customer service, communication, confidentiality, and interpersonal skills.<br>*Knowledge of access center operations and medical office procedures.<br>*Working knowledge of patient access functions including: scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and/or referrals.<br>*Knowledge of governmental and commercial payors.<br>*Ability to effectively work in both a team environment and independently. <br>*Ability to step outside of comfort level, adapt to new challenges, and assist teammates through change.<br>*Ability to teach, coach and train peers in a variety of settings, including remotely.<br>*Ability to meet and exceed departmental quality, production and scheduling standards. <br>*Skill in Microsoft Office.<br>*Skill in medical terminology.<br>*Skill in data entry with minimal errors. <br><br><strong>Physical Demands</strong><br><br><a href="https://hcm.childrensmn.org:8443/psc/EXTAPP/EMPLOYEE/HRMS/s/WEBLIB_CHC.ISCRIPT1.FieldFormula.Iscript_ViewPhyDemandDoc?J=1001" target="_Blank">Please click here to view the Physical Demands</a><br><br>The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs.<br><br>In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits.
