Position Summary The Pharmacy Technician II, Data Entry ensures accurate prescription processing, supports team collaboration, and upholds performance excellence. This role advances Empower's mission to create innovative medications and expand access to affordable healthcare. Duties and Responsibilities Processes new orders promptly and accurately, reviews patient profiles, and updates records using multiple software programs with strong attention to detail. Verifies patient and prescription information for accuracy and transfers clarifications to the appropriate team as needed. Maintains compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act guidelines to protect patient information and ensure confidentiality. Exceeds production standards and Key Performance Indicators for data entry processing while demonstrating reliability through excellent attendance and punctuality. Actively engages with team members to foster positive morale, assist in training new employees, and support a collaborative work environment. While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Knowledge and Skills Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently while fostering a positive team environment in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. Exhibits proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), a thorough understanding of compounded medication orders, and the ability to perform complex mathematical calculations, including rates, ratios, and percentages. Experience and Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Pharmacy Tech Data Entry role or equivalent. High school diploma or GED required; college education preferred. Texas Board of Pharmacy- Pharmacy Technician license. Must be an active license and not on probation.
