Pre-Sales Consultant: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

We are seeking a seasoned Pre-Sales Consultant with deep expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). In this role, you will be a trusted advisor to clients exploring cloud transformation initiatives, helping them evaluate OCI’s capabilities across compute, storage, networking, databases, and security. You will lead discovery discussions, architect scalable and secure OCI solutions, and deliver compelling demonstrations aligned with clients’ hybrid cloud, migration, and modernization strategies. The ideal candidate brings both technical depth and strategic business insight to guide clients through their cloud journey.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead discovery sessions with IT, infrastructure, security, and application stakeholders to understand cloud transformation goals.
• Design OCI solutions including compute, networking, storage, identity, and security that address client needs across performance, scalability, and compliance.
• Create architecture diagrams, migration roadmaps, and phased cloud adoption strategies.
• Present OCI capabilities and competitive differentiators to C-level and technical stakeholders.
• Deliver live or recorded OCI demonstrations tailored to industry and client priorities.
• Lead technical responses to RFPs, RFIs, and proposals related to OCI services and architecture.
• Collaborate with Sales, Solution Architects, and Delivery to scope, estimate, and define technical components of Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Support OCI migration assessments including TCO analysis, workload discovery, and re-platforming options for Oracle and non-Oracle workloads.
• Contribute to thought leadership including whitepapers, blogs, and webinars focused on OCI innovations.
• Represent the company at Oracle events, webinars, and industry conferences as a cloud infrastructure expert.

Qualifications
• 10+ years of overall IT infrastructure or cloud architecture experience, with 5+ years directly focused on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Proven experience in architecting and supporting OCI implementations involving both Oracle (e.g., EBS, JD Edwards, Fusion Apps) and non-Oracle workloads (e.g., Linux/Windows, third-party databases, custom apps).
• 3+ OCI implementation or migration projects, including hybrid and multi-cloud scenarios.
• In-depth understanding of OCI services such as Compute, Block/Object Storage, Networking (VCN, Load Balancing, FastConnect), IAM, Security Zones, Vaults, Autonomous Database, Exadata Cloud Service, and OKE.
• Strong grasp of enterprise cloud security, compliance frameworks, and network architecture.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), scripting (Python, Shell), and CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to engage both business and technical audiences.
• Familiarity with TCO analysis and cloud economics in pre-sales settings.

Preferred Qualifications
• OCI Architect Associate or Professional certification.
• Experience migrating Oracle applications such as EBS, JD Edwards, or Fusion SaaS to OCI.
• Experience migrating or integrating with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with tools like Oracle Cloud Migrations (OCM), Cloud Advisor, and OCI Resource Manager.
• Exposure to Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), SOA Suite, or third-party integration tools.
• Working knowledge of Oracle database options on OCI including Autonomous DB, Exadata, and MySQL HeatWave.
• Experience delivering demos using OCI Console, Resource Manager, or related tools.

Travel:
• Up to 40% travel

US Base Pay Disclosure

Accelalpha follows fair and equitable payment practice, considering many factors such as the candidate’s skill set, previous experience, as well as job duties, requirements, responsibilities, and work location. For this position, the expected base salary range is USD $160,000 to $180,000.

Pay increments and frequency of payment will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws.
