<b>Description</b><br><p><strong><u>Main Purpose of the Role:</u></strong></p><p>Supporting the Operations Manager and implementing the direction, coordination, and evaluation of related operations for the USA and carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization/company policies and applicable Federal/Government laws. Responsible to assist as necessary in all negotiations of Operational Agreements with vendors and partners. Also responsible for ascertaining data, creating, and analyzing reports for the Operations Department.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Major Areas of Responsibility:</u></strong></p><p>Focus on creating and analyzing data through ZIMBI system, SAP and the Port Operation System to support terminal and marine operations.&nbsp;Monitors process for complete reporting on Vessels to ensure all data is complete and error free prior the data migrating to the Port Operation System.&nbsp;Initiates comparison of Vessel Proforma Schedule versus actual information recorded in the ZIMBI system. Processing BB/OOG quotes and coordinating the loading and discharging of cargo as necessary with the terminal. Handling the Non-Manifested Recovery for Cost Busterz; closing out items within KPI’s governed by Financial Control. Handling the recovery of mis-discharged containers. Assisting with ADR creation in Agenteam as necessary to maintain department KPI’s.</p><p><strong><u>Main Tasks:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Facilitating and providing guidance and coaching to staff in Operations matters, directing staff on Operations functions.</li><li>Develops and executes comprehensive operational plans and programs to support the achievement of company revenue and vessel/port services objectives.</li><li>Monitoring the validation of all shipping invoices related to terminal, port dues, vessel and crew expenses against vendor agreements&nbsp;</li><li>Labor ordering and vessel ETA/ETB coordination with the terminal for all Zim vessels.</li><li>Focus on creating and analyzing data through the ZIMBI system, SAP and the Port Operation System to support terminal and marine operations.</li><li>Cost Control/Cost Avoidance and Cost savings reporting.&nbsp;</li><li>Monitors and assists with the process for ADR reporting to ensure all data is complete and error free prior the data migrating to the Port Operation System in Agenteam.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Take “Second Step” with data to locate trends and initiate corrective measures.</li><li>Maintain track of vessels and operational issues</li><li>Calculate and update ZIMAPS platform with operating standard costs for Level 0 (zero) for Cargo Handling, Canal Fees, Port Dues, Reefer Handling, Full LoLo, Full Storage on monthly and/or quarterly basis.</li><li>Verify completeness of missing costs (MCR) and make weekly updates to ensure costs are updated.</li><li>Issue timely and complete ZIMAPS Quarterly Version Comparison reports after each version close as required by HO.</li></ul><p><br></p><br> <b>Requirements</b><br><p>• Academic Education: Bachelor’s degree in Maritime studies or equivalent required.&nbsp;</p><p>• Experience: Experience in the shipping/transportation industry in Operations or equivalent is required. Seagoing experience is a plus.</p><p>• Proficient in Excel.</p><p>• Experience using SAP preferred.</p><p><br></p><br>
