About the position

Under direct management of the Division Director, Medical Staff Services, the incumbent provides services for the credentialing and privileging and database management functions of the Division Medical Staff Services Department (DMSS) including, but not limited to, Cactus file review for new applicants and re-applicants for membership and/or clinical privileges completed by the Credentialing Processing Center (CPC), updating the Cactus practitioner records in the Cactus database as appropriate, and utilizing HCA Healthcare tools for provisioning practitioners with appropriate access to HCA clinical systems and role based applications.
Responsibilities
• Apply the credentials evaluation process uniformly to all assigned RFC/applications, R-RFC/re-applications and Request For Increased, New Clinical Privileges, or Change in Prescriptive Authority requests.

• Obtain missing or incomplete information from providers.
,
• Prepare summary credentialing reports for facility review.
,
• Prepare complete files utilizing Docusign ready for e-signatures to the facility MSO.
,
• Run Cactus reports that support the facility dynamic expiration management process.
,
• Perform facility post Board of Trustees processes including updates to the Cactus system record.
,
• Utilize the Cactus system to create and upload applicable communication letters to providers.
,
• Scan Board communication and approval documentation to Cactus provider records.
,
• Submit eSAF system access requests for new access and changes to existing access.
,
• Manage the EHR Provider Dictionary related to practitioner permissions and privileges.
,
• Obtain federally or HCA required communicable disease documentation/vaccinations.
,
• Availability for one week call rotations between Division Medical Staff Coordinator team.
Requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent, Associate Degree or higher preferred.
,
• At least one (1) year previous credentialing experience preferred.
,
• HCA Healthcare credentialing and Cactus experience preferred.
,
• Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist preferred.
,
• Demonstrate accurate knowledge of relevant laws, policies, regulations, and standards affecting credentialing decisions.
,
• Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail.
,
• Analytical and problem-solving skills required.
,
• Proficient in Cactus Credentialing Software, Microsoft Office applications, Internet searches, and relevant databases.
,
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
,
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.

• Ability to establish and maintain long-term customer relationships.

• Ability to work effectively with other employees and external parties.

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
