Starting pay is $22.64 per hour. What you'll doPromotes and sells air travel to the traveling public or freight forwardersProvides assistance with passenger check-in and cargo acceptanceInterprets government rules and requirements for domestic and international travel or cargo shipmentsMeets and dispatches aircraft within established timesProvides assistance to distressed passengers and customersProtects company property and revenueProvides for safe travelPossesses the physical ability and dexterity to use motor skills to perform various job-related tasksUses organizational skills to perform multiple tasks within a limited time periodIs self-motivated and requires minimal supervisionResponds and assists during security and emergency situationsFollows internal/external policies and proceduresMay be required to drive and operate air stairs up to various types of aircraft in order to enplane and deplane passengersResponsible for the overall performance within work area and may be required to lead and direct the work of other employeesMay be required to perform Passenger Operation Control functions including air to ground communication as well as Tower functionsAll you'll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceHigh school diploma or GEDRead, write, fluently speak and understand the English languageBilingual language skills required in some locationsApplicable valid driver's license as required by local authoritiesMust fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicableMust be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicableAbility to work irregular and/or extended hours, including weekends and holidaysMust report to work on a regular and timely basisWhat you'll getFeel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
