Joining our team requires skill, daring, leadership, teaming, humor and a love of technical design. We are presently searching for an <strong>Architectural Designer for our Retail studio</strong>. The Architectural Designer is responsible for producing technical drawings for retail projects.</p><p><strong>Additional Responsibilities Include:</strong></p><ul><li>Assists in overall technical design for projects</li><li>Review of engineering drawings to ensure they comply with design solution</li><li>Works with technical staff to resolve inconsistencies in drawings</li><li>Aid in the creation of floor plans, elevations, architectural and millwork details, and overall design intent sets for the Request for Proposal (RFP) process and distribution to architects.</li><li>Review and redline construction documents, shop drawings, and related submittals</li><li>Produces, reviews and finalizes space plans for projects</li><li>Extensive knowledge of detailing and finalizes details on projects</li><li>Reviews and produces final cost estimates</li><li>In unusual circumstances may be required to assist with support for field surveys</li><li>Manages overall design budget</li><li>Ensures adherence to set budget and immediately informs PM and/or client of any potential variances to the budget</li><li>Oversees tasks and provide feedback on work product</li><li>Organizes and conducts client interviews to determine space needs and requirements</li><li>Continues to provide needed information to client on design specifications; good working knowledge of Affinity program tool</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Graduate of architecture school: equivalent experience may be substituted</li><li>3+ years’ experience in Retail design projects preferred</li><li>Strong Revit Skills</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Extensive knowledge of design principles</li><li>Extensive knowledge of store planning methodology</li><li>Proficient with the concepts of furniture layout</li><li>Expert sketching and rendering skills</li><li>Expert architecture detailing skills</li><li>Extensive knowledge of CDs and procedures</li><li>Extensive knowledge of building systems, codes and ADA requirements</li><li>Extensive knowledge of contract administration</li><li>Commitment to support projects through peaks and valleys</li><li>Intermediate MS Office Suite skills</li><li>Advanced Revit skills</li><li>Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills</li><li>Affinity Program skills or equivalent</li><li>Extensive verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Extensive presentation and graphic communication</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage and lead staff through a combination of direct authority and subject matter expertise</li></ul><h4> </h4><h4><strong><u>Work samples or a portfolio that includes technical drawings in Revit and construction drawings/documents are required with your application.
