About the position

The Hyatt Centric Key West is seeking a Director of Commercial Services to join our amazing team. The Hyatt Centric is centrally located within Old Town and a short stroll to the lively Duval Street. The Director of Commercial Services has direct oversight of the Revenue and Sales & Events operations of the hotel. Responsibilities include the Sales, Marketing and Events Budget/P&L, revenue forecasting, advertising, marketing, developing and writing business plans, and ownership meetings. This role leads the development and implementation of both short-term and long-term strategies in all sales, catering and marketing channels to achieve hotel's revenue goals and increase market share performance. Additionally, responsible for maximizing overall hotel revenue for rooms and food and beverage through the implementation of effective pricing and distribution strategies. Out-perform direct competitors by winning market share with rational and competitive pricing, distribution strategy backed by targeted marketing, and careful management hotel inventory to maximize topline revenue and yield high net profits. Manage and oversee revenue management analytic functions to produce reporting that support and evaluate hotel business strategies. Produce accurate revenue forecasts that help set hotel goals and outgrow the competition. Display leadership qualities that mentor, develop, and guide hotel team members. The Director of Commercial Services leads all revenue, sales and event managers. They manage recruitment and hiring of sales and event services staff, training, managing and coaching managers in their selling and servicing process in order to meet company goals and maximize hotel revenues. Must be able to train and monitor the group and transient contractual agreement process, quoting rates, sending referrals, setting traces, and the management of retention, reactivation, and acquisition accounts. The Director of Commercial Services reports directly to the General Manager with oversight from the Regional Vice President. On-site or remote work will be considered for this position.

Requirements
• Relevant Revenue and/or Sales leadership experience, 5 years preferred
,
• Previous Hyatt experience preferred
,
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
,
• Professional presentation skills
,
• Must be a caring leader that builds trust and engagement by cultivating genuine relationships

• Innovative thinker that will challenge business processes and concepts to drive results

Nice-to-haves
