About the position

TNTP seeks a Part-time Rural Math Educators Collaborative Facilitator to work up to 25 hours a week, APS Rural Math Educators Collaborative. This position may be based in a home office anywhere in the U.S with preference to applicants based in Arizona. TNTP brings research, policy, and consulting together to reimagine America's public education system. We are a fully remote, national organization of over 600 full-time TNTPers with expertise from a variety of fields, united by the vision to change outcomes for all students. Working collaboratively, we dig into educators' toughest challenges, and we provide actionable solutions grounded in evidence. This work takes place in schools and districts across the country, and our national position allows us to spot trends, collect and analyze data, and advocate for policy changes that introduce greater impact at scale. We work across sectors and partner with school systems to ensure that the 3.5 million young people who graduate high school every year have pathways to economic and social mobility. The APS Rural Math Educators Collaborative, in partnership with TNTP and the APS Foundation, is seeking a dedicated math educator to support our next cohort of rural K-12 math teachers. This part-time, virtual role will focus on facilitating biweekly cohort meetings, supporting educators during asynchronous coursework, and fostering a strong sense of community within the program.

Responsibilities
• Facilitate virtual cohort meetings (biweekly) to discuss instructional strategies and address challenges in math teaching.

• Host office hours to support educators with coursework, lesson planning, and implementation of strategies.

• Build a collaborative community by engaging educators in discussions, sharing resources, and supporting their professional growth.

• Communicate effectively with participants, providing reminders, updates, and support as needed.

• Support up to 50 educators virtually across rural schools in Arizona.

Requirements
• At least two years of teaching experience (preferably in a high-need school) and a proven track record of raising student achievement.

• Strong familiarity and expertise with Common Core/Arizona State Standards.

• Ability to track and analyze teacher data to identify new approaches to improve teacher performance.

• Strong facilitation skills and ability to lead teacher professional development.

• Flexibility and comfort adapting work to maximize impact on students and teachers.

• Commitment to constant learning and improvement, thriving on feedback.

• High emotional intelligence and ability to build trusting relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves
• Experience teaching K-12 math, with a strong understanding of instructional strategies.

• Prior experience teaching math in Arizona classrooms.
