<p>Our client is a leading force in the media and entertainment industry. We're seeking a skilled Python backend engineer to contribute to take ownership of key initiatives for our client's streaming and media handling platforms. You’ll be part of a remote-first team building scalable backend services that support the core media infrastructure. </p>

<h2 id="your-role-in-the-team"><strong>Your Role in the Team</strong></h2>
<p>As a <strong>Senior Python Backend Engineer</strong>, you’ll take ownership of features and architecture, work on cloud infrastructure, and co-create in an environment that thrives on <strong>code reviews, pair programming</strong>, and <strong>test-first development</strong>. Your typical day might include:</p>

<li>Building and refining scalable backend systems using <strong>Python</strong></li>
<li>Designing infrastructure on <strong>AWS</strong> and implementing robust <strong>CI/CD pipelines</strong></li>
<li>Writing clean, tested code that supports millions of users worldwide</li>
<li>Collaborating closely with a global, diverse team of engineers</li>
<li>Advocating for best practices, continuous improvement, and thoughtful architecture</li>
<li>Showcasing your work in regular demos, and giving and receiving feedback</li>
</ul>
<h2 id="what-were-looking-for"><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>You have <strong>strong Python experience</strong> and have built backend services using Django</li>
<li>You’re familiar with cloud platforms (<strong>AWS</strong>, Azure, or GCP) and tools like <strong>Terraform</strong>, <strong>CDK</strong>, or <strong>CloudFormation</strong></li>
<li>You understand how to ship code with confidence—through <strong>CI/CD</strong>, <strong>testing</strong>, and <strong>monitoring</strong></li>
<li>You’re comfortable with <strong>Docker</strong>, <strong>Kubernetes</strong>, and scalable system design</li>
<li>You know your way around relational and schema-less databases</li>
<li>You bring a collaborative spirit and love helping others grow</li>
<li>Bonus points if you’ve dabbled in <strong>Go</strong> or <strong>Node.js</strong>, or have experience with <strong>GraphQL</strong> and <strong>gRPC</strong>.</li>
