Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Service Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in calibration, system maintenance, and process optimization, with hands-on experience in aerospace, industrial, or related technical environments. This role involves commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex systems, collaborating with OEMs and client teams to deliver high-quality technical services.

Work Arrangement

This is a hybrid role, primarily involving travel (limited to Florida) to customer facilities for on-site work, including some overnight assignments. The role also includes remote and in-office responsibilities for documentation, planning, and coordination. Expect frequent travel to client sites to perform hands-on maintenance, calibration, and system evaluations with occasional overnight stays required by project demands.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform calibration, commissioning, and troubleshooting of complex systems, including gas detection devices from various manufacturers.

· Travel to customer sites to conduct on-site equipment maintenance, repairs, and system evaluations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integration, fabrication, and operational workflows.

· Develop and implement efficient processes for equipment calibration and maintenance, utilizing tools like IndySoft for tracking and documentation.

· Generate detailed technical service reports to document equipment evaluations, repairs, and performance outcomes.

· Drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and quality assurance.

· Support high-stakes operations, ensuring system performance under tight deadlines and rigorous safety requirements.

Qualifications

· Proven experience in calibration, system maintenance, or commissioning in aerospace, industrial, or related technical fields.

· Strong technical skills in programming, data analysis, and operating PLCs, DAQs, or similar systems.

· Experience with Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or equivalent) and process optimization is highly desirable.

· Ability to lead teams, manage workflows, and collaborate effectively using various communication methods.

· Familiarity with aerospace operations, fluid systems, or industrial automation is a plus.

· Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

· Relevant technical certifications or military experience (e.g., US Military technical roles – METCAL / PMEL) are advantageous.

Preferred Skills

· Proficiency with calibration tools and software (e.g., IndySoft).

· Experience in aerospace or industrial system integration.

· Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA) and quality assurance protocols (ISO 9001 / 17025) in technical environments.
