About the position

The Nursing Assistant position at Michigan Medicine involves providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or designated supervisor. The role encompasses a variety of specialized and technical tasks, which may include setting up and monitoring specialized clinical equipment, performing delegated clinical or laboratory procedures, assisting in wound care, and supporting patients with their activities of daily living (ADLs). Responsibilities

Requirements
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.

• A minimum of 6 months recent experience in a patient care setting or junior status in an accredited BSN program or second year in an accredited ADN program is required.

• Ability to read and write is required.

• Certification as a Nurse Aide or Medical Assistant is desired.

• Recent experience in an acute care inpatient setting is preferred.

• Basic computer skills are desired.

• Time management skills and flexibility in scheduling are necessary.
