Family Practice Physician - Pain Management Chart Reviewer (PT/FT in office or remote)

A Family Practice Physician is needed to review and evaluate medical charts for pain management cases. This role focuses on ensuring that all medical documentation is compliant with state regulations, insurance requirements, and evidence-based treatment practices in the management of chronic pain. The ideal candidate will bring their medical expertise to assess treatment plans, prescriptions, and overall patient management to ensure appropriate care and minimize risk.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough reviews of patient charts, focusing on pain management protocols and treatment history.

Evaluate the appropriateness of opioid and other pain management prescriptions according to best practices and regulatory guidelines.

Ensure medical documentation meets state and federal legal requirements, as well as insurance mandates.

Identify inconsistencies, red flags, or areas of concern in the treatment of chronic pain patients.

Provide recommendations for modifications to treatment plans when necessary, promoting safe and effective pain management.

Collaborate with other healthcare providers and specialists to review patient outcomes and optimize care.

Ensure compliance with North Carolina's medical board requirements for pain management.
