Role Description

As a Technical Program Manager, you will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and delivering critical projects for engineering and system administration teams. Your role involves partnering closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution through clearly defined roadmaps, effective implementation of Agile methodologies, and proactive risk and issue management. You will play a crucial role in translating leadership direction and organizational priorities into actionable plans, while maintaining transparent and continuous communication with stakeholders. This position offers substantial visibility across the organization, opportunities for professional growth, and the ability to significantly enhance operational efficiency, team collaboration, and strategic outcomes.

Responsibilities

Facilitate Agile ceremonies (backlog grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives, daily stand-ups).
Partner with engineering and system administration teams to develop and prioritize project roadmaps.
Track deliverables and clearly communicate project status updates to stakeholders.
Create comprehensive documentation (user stories, acceptance criteria).
Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Conduct retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
Foster strong collaboration across multiple teams and stakeholders.
Requirements

6+ years in technical product/program management roles.
Strong experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
Proven ability managing multiple concurrent projects.
Knowledge of software engineering/system administration processes.
Excellent organizational and stakeholder communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional team settings.
Proficiency with project management tools (Jira, Confluence).
Experience driving and delivering complex technical programs or products from inception to delivery.
Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript) and back-end technologies (Python).
Experience with CI/CD practices and systems administration.
Agile certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master).
Prior experience in technology-driven or SaaS companies.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Compensation

US Zone 1

This role is not available in Zone 1 US Zone 2 $137,700—$186,300 USD US Zone 3 $122,400—$165,600 USD

The range(s) listed above is the expected annual salary/OTE (On-Target Earnings) for this role, subject to change.

Please note, OTE are for sales roles only.

Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

Dropbox takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location/metropolitan area, skillset, and peer compensation. We target most new hire offers between the minimum up to the middle of the range.

Dropbox uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. Current US Zone locations are as follows:

  • US Zone 1: San Francisco metro, New York City metro, or Seattle metro
  • US Zone 2: Austin (TX) metro, Chicago metro, California (outside SF metro), Colorado, Connecticut (outside NYC metro), Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York (outside NYC metro), Oregon, Pennsylvania (outside NYC or DC metro), Washington DC metro, and West Virginia (DC metro)
  • US Zone 3: All other US locations
