The ideal candidate will have a strong background in science communication, proven editorial management experience, and the ability to guide and review others’ work. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively across teams. When you join Cleveland Clinic, you'll be part of a supportive caregiver family that will be united in shared values and purpose to fulfill our promise of being the best place to receive care and the best place to work in healthcare.   </div><div>A caregiver in this position works remotely out of Northeast Ohio, Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM.   </div><div>A caregiver who excels in this role will:  </div><div><div><ul><li>Leads the development of LRI's editorial calendar, style guide, and participates in the creation of new communications channels such as newsletters and email blasts. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Oversees the editorial responsibilities of the editorial team. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Determines the effectiveness of current communications and innovates new ways to enhance them - Intranet site, email, social media. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Acts as liaison between client areas and marketing staff. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ensures deadlines and timelines are adhered to including overseeing deadlines of freelance writers. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Functions as sole contact to specific institute or department leadership. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Collaborates with client areas and graphic designers to determine appropriate graphic presentation of copy. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Conducts interviews with physicians, institute/department chairmen, clinicians, patients and other sources. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Writes and edits copy for newsletters, brochures, direct mail pieces, displays and other collateral materials, as well as speeches and copy for the Web. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Conducts secondary research for publication development. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Oversees enterprise-wide and multidisciplinary clinical projects such as annual reports and special one-time publications. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Serves on various committees throughout the organization. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul></div><div>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  </div><div><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English or closely related field. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Minimum of 7 years' experience in a communication/marketing function to include experience in writing, editing, researching and preparing material for publication. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>An additional four years of progressively responsible relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Knowledge of communication practices in healthcare and/or other industries. </li></ul></div><div> </div><div>Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
