<p><br></p> <b>Job Summary</b><br> The Finance General Assistant is essential to supporting day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial processes. This role involves close collaboration with the Finance Team and other stakeholders to provide high-quality administrative and financial support.<br> <br>
<p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b><br></p>
<ul>
<li><p>Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and client accounts in a timely manner.<br></p></li>
<li><p>Maintain and update financial records, registers, and databases to support current and future reporting needs.<br></p></li>
<li><p>Prepare and distribute routine financial reports, including zero balance and outstanding items reports.<br></p></li>
<li><p>Manage the finance inbox, respond to internal and external finance queries, and provide assistance to stakeholders.<br></p></li>
<li><p>Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.<br></p></li>
<li><p>Monitor and follow up on outstanding items to ensure timely resolution.<br></p></li>
<li><p>Participate in reviewing and updating administrative systems and processes to enhance service delivery.<br></p></li>
<li><p>Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.<br></p></li>
<li><p>Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.<br></p></li>
<li><p>Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoice verification, payment runs, and reconciliation if required.<br></p></li>
<li><p>Provide coverage and support for senior finance roles as required.<br></p></li>
</ul>
<p><br></p> <b>Qualifications:</b><br>
<ul>
<li><p>Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).<br></p></li>
<li><p>1–2 years’ experience in a finance, bookkeeping, or accounts administration role.<br></p></li>
<li><p>Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Dynamics) and Microsoft Excel.<br></p></li>
<li><p>Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.<br></p></li>
<li><p>Excellent organizational and time management abilities.<br></p></li>
<li><p>Good verbal and written communication skills.<br></p></li>
<li><p>Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.<br></p></li>
<li><p>Experience working in Australian finance environments (desirable but not essential).<br></p></li>
