This position provides customer service and technical support for computer users and devices and this role includes designing and maintaining AMHS networks, selecting and implementing technologies such as satellite and wireless systems, and ensuring network compliance with state and department policies. The specialist will also maintain the AMHS computer and network inventory, oversee the replacement cycle, and act as a technical consultant to recommend the best hardware and software solutions for AMHS programs.<br><br>Additionally, the position requires working with contractors and consultants to purchase, install, and maintain IT infrastructure and network equipment. The specialist will research and evaluate new technologies, develop project schedules, and maintain system and network documentation. Responsibilities also include diagnosing and fixing network and system faults, managing AMHS wireless infrastructure, performing system administration for AMHS Windows servers and clients, and administering various IT services.
