Pasona N A, Inc., a Japanese IT service company, is seeking a Japanese bilingual Business Analyst for a financial lending system, specifically working with Finastra LoanIQ. This position is based in New York, NY, with the potential for work in Midtown and Jersey City. The role is primarily contract-based and involves working in clients' offices, mainly in Manhattan, or remotely as required. The Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting business analysis and product management for the lending system, focusing on three key functions: project management/business analysis, systems support, and policy & procedures management. In the project management/business analysis function, the Business Analyst will collaborate with business users, product managers, and project managers to assess and analyze business requirements and develop a roadmap for future needs. This includes conducting business/system analysis for assigned projects and user requests, providing recommendations for changes, and managing projects of various sizes and scopes. The analyst will create and update project plans, design specifications, and other essential documents such as test/migration plans and evaluations. They will also conduct fit and gap analysis between the current lending system (Finastra LoanIQ) and new systems (FIS ACBS), ensuring a thorough understanding of data flows and system processes. In the systems support function, the Business Analyst will support, maintain, and upgrade the bank's investment in third-party vendor applications, primarily those involved in the lending line of business. This includes providing timely support for user queries, troubleshooting high-priority issues, and performing various levels of systems testing, including managing and coordinating user acceptance testing. Lastly, the Business Analyst will be responsible for reviewing and drafting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with the customer's policies, including project promotion procedures and system trouble reporting procedures. This role requires a proactive approach, with the ability to undertake complete ownership of assigned tasks and manage priorities with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
• Conduct business/system analysis for assigned projects and user requests and provide recommendations for changes by collaborating with business users and lending package software vendors (Finastra).

• Conduct data analysis on the data retrieved from lending systems and utilized downstream systems to document end-to-end data flows through various business and system processes.

• Conduct fit and gap analysis between current lending system (Finastra LoanIQ) and new lending system (FIS ACBS) in terms of the data retrieved from those systems for downstream systems.
,
• Manage projects of various sizes and scope; create/update project plans, design specifications, and other documents such as test/migration plans, evaluations, SLA, etc.

• Undertake complete ownership of assigned tasks and manage own priorities and time allocation with minimal daily supervision.
,
• Support, maintain, upgrade and leverage the bank's investment in third-party vendor applications, primarily systems involved in the lending line of business.

• Provide timely support to user queries and troubleshoot for higher priority issues.

• Perform various levels of Systems Testing and manage/coordinate user acceptance testing.

• Follow the policies and procedures of the customer, including but not limited to the Project Promotion Procedures, the System Trouble Reporting Procedures, and the Production Release Approval Procedure for releasing applications into a production environment.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or related field.

• At least 8-10 years of prior work experience in the financial services industry.

• 3-5 years of experience in the lending business management systems.

• Experience in data analysis.

• Experience in Finastra LoanIQ and/or FIS ACBS.

• Strong knowledge of lending business.
,
• Experience with evaluation and testing of vendor packages.

• Prior training/certifications for Finastra LoanIQ are preferable.

• Programming skills for C, C#, Python, Java are preferable.

• Understanding of relational databases such as MS SQL & Oracle.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Visio, MS Project, GitHub and Confluence, JIRA and ServiceNow (or similar products).
