FREELANCE Production Coordinator

Day One Agency—Campaign Magazine’s Agency of the Year and PRovoke Media’s Creative Agency of the Year—is hiring! We’re looking for a Freelance Production Coordinator to join our nimble and culture-obsessed team. You’re a multitasker, a master of logistics, and a creative problem solver who thrives behind the scenes but keeps the whole show moving. You’re someone who can pivot fast, juggle details with precision, and bring both structure and flexibility to every project. The right candidate will be ambitious, hard-working, and dedicated to bringing great work to life. We’re looking for self-starters with excellent organizational skills who can work collaboratively. In return, you’ll be in a rewarding learning environment with the opportunity to grow and further your career.

We offer a highly collaborative environment where smart and hyper-passionate people come together to solve creative challenges. We emphasize and value all of our relationships—our colleagues, clients, and partners are the most important part of our business. So if you want to join a fast-growing, award-winning creative team, we’d love to hear from you.

At Day One, we craft ideas that earn attention—and that means your role is mission-critical in helping campaigns come to life. You’ll collaborate closely with our production and creative teams, manage vendor and crew logistics, and ensure shoots run smoother than your favorite iced coffee.

This is a freelance role with project-based hours, working hybrid on-site three days a week in LA. For the right candidate, there may be an opportunity to transition into a full-time position.

Responsibilities
• Develop detailed production schedules and timelines for brand campaigns across video, digital, and photography.
• Partner with the Production Manager to secure vendors (think locations, crew, gear, catering—oh my!).
• Coordinate pre-pro meetings and prep decks that keep the team aligned and clients impressed.
• Help manage shoot logistics, including permits, crew onboarding via Wrapbook, and day-of coordination.
• Track expenses, monitor progress, and keep things moving on budget and on time.
• Keep the production calendar, asset folder, and shoot deliverables buttoned up and organized.
• Ensure post-production handoffs are smooth with clear file organization and follow-through.
• Be present at kickoffs, tech scouts, and on-set when needed—your POV and attention to detail matter.

Requirements
• 1-2 years of production experience ideally in a creative environment (agency, branded content, or film/TV preferred)
• Entrepreneurial spirit and excitement
• Extremely organized with a proactive mindset and solid communication skills.
• Working knowledge of production logistics, shoot permitting, and crew management.
• Comfort in liaising among different departments and team leads, navigating against competing priorities
• Thrive in a diverse environment
• Multi-task and prioritize workload with quick turnarounds
• Excellent problem solving skills, able to comfortably contribute to creative ideas
• An understanding of deliverables and assets needed for Social (both Paid and Owned)
• Experience with tools like Google Workspace, Excel, and Wrapbook (bonus points if you geek out over call sheets).
• Being on-set as needed to assist on photo & video production
• A solutions-oriented attitude—you don’t just flag problems, you come with options.
• Passion for culture, storytelling, and making the unglamorous parts of production shine.
