This is how we perform at our best and achieve greater success.</span></span></span></p><p><b><span>Application engineer</span></b></p><p><b><span>The position</span></b></p><p>Would you like to help make products and processes more durable and reliable? </p><p></p><p>We are looking for an application engineer for our North American team. You will be responsible for helping customers with all aspects of reliability engineering and the use of ReliaSoft software. This includes the application of reliability and life data analysis (Weibull), accelerated life testing (ALT), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM). </p><p></p><p>This position includes providing engineering technical support during the pre- and post-sales process, presenting formal training courses on reliability, and providing engineering consulting services. </p><p></p><p>This position is remote. You can choose to work from anywhere in North America with periodic travel to our offices and customer sites.</p><p></p><p><b><span>Primary responsibilities </span></b></p><p></p><p>Assist customers with all aspects of reliability engineering as it relates to the use of ReliaSoft software. This includes daily activities such as:</p><p></p><ul><li><b><span>Pre-sales customer facing activities</span></b><ul><li>Investigate and understand customers’ reliability analysis requirements.</li><li>Demonstrate ReliaSoft reliability engineering software to potential customers as a solution to those needs, highlighting solutions and benefits.</li></ul></li></ul><ul><li><b><span>Post-sales support and service-oriented activities:</span></b><ul><li>Answer technical questions that existing customers have about reliability and durability.</li><li>Conduct training courses on reliability engineering concepts and software.</li><li>Provide post-sales technical support for ReliaSoft users via phone, email, and web.</li><li>Provide consulting services for durability and reliability engineering.</li></ul></li></ul><ul><li><b><span>Product-focused activities:</span></b><ul><li>Act as the voice of customer (VoC) to provide user feedback to HBK’s product management on future software functionality.</li></ul></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b><span>Professional qualifications </span></b></p><p><span>What you need to show:</span></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering (preferably mechanical, aerospace, civil, or industrial) or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.</li><li>1+ year(s) engineering experience.</li><li>The focus to be able to work from home effectively.</li><li>Able to travel freely within North America to support the team and our customers.</li><li>Experience with ReliaSoft software is beneficial, but not required.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Personal skills</span></b></p><p>What we’d like to see in you:</p><ul><li>A passion for helping engineers learn and use software to overcome technical challenges.</li><li>Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.</li><li>Excellent technical presentation and communication skills.</li><li>Interest in working in a commercial environment supporting the sale and use of engineering software.</li><li>Self-motivated, self-directed, and eager to learn.</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b><span>We offer</span></b></p><p>The job will provide you with an opportunity to further your career alongside some of the best and most passionate technology experts in a leading company within the test and measurement industry.
