The role will perform month-end close duties, including revenue accruals and reconciliations. In addition, this role will prepare client invoices,</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW140336081 BCX0"> apply customer payments </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW140336081 BCX0">to accounts and correspond with our clients</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW140336081 BCX0"> and client facing teams. The</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW140336081 BCX0"> Accounts Receivable specialist will </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW140336081 BCX0">identify opportunities for</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW140336081 BCX0"> on-going development </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW140336081 BCX0">of processes impacting our clients. At times</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW140336081 BCX0">, this </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW140336081 BCX0">role</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW140336081 BCX0"> will complete special projects assigned by the Corporate Controller</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW140336081 BCX0"> or Assistant Controller</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW140336081 BCX0"> and may </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW140336081 BCX0">instruct and oversee the day-to-day tasks of Finance and Accounting Interns.</span></p>
<p><strong>The Gig:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Review and process vendor invoices</li>
<li>Prepare month end accruals for open invoices</li>
<li>Prepare month end closing schedules</li>
<li>Support billing team in preparation of client invoicing data</li>
<li>Audit client change order requests and communicate between accounting and operations teams</li>
<li>Audit client billing data for accuracy</li>
<li>Prepare and review client premium audit reports</li>
<li>Process member refunds</li>
<li>Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What You Need to Make the Cut:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>1 - 2 years accounting experience preferred (recent accounting graduates welcome to apply)</li>
<li>Bachelor degree in accounting, business or related field preferred or equivalent business experience</li>
<li>Strong Microsoft Excel spreadsheet skills</li>
<li>Attention to detail and high level of accuracy – A MUST</li>
<li>Ability to work with (and enjoy!) large amounts of data and detail</li>
<li>Strong communication skills – interdepartmental as well as accounting and finance team members</li>
<li>Problem solving abilities – big picture thinking, trend analysis, and overall ability to be innovative in your approach to situations</li>
<li>Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities at the same time</li>
<li>Readiness and flexibility to change priorities as new developments arise</li>
</ul>
