Blazer Jobs is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to support a school district in the Harvey, LA area. This is a full-time opening ideal for local professionals seeking a school-year position or traveling clinicians looking for a rewarding assignment in Southern Louisiana.
Position Overview:
As a school-based SLP, you will provide direct and consultative therapy services to students in PreK–12 settings. You'll support academic and social development through evidence-based interventions, diagnostics, and ongoing collaboration with education teams.
Available Employment Options:
1. Local W-2 Employment through Blazer Jobs:
• Stable school-year assignment
• Medical, dental, and vision benefits

• CEU assistance and professional development resources
• Weekly pay: $38–$46/hour, depending on experience
2. Travel Contract (W-2 or 1099):
• Flexible contract durations with relocation support
• Weekly gross: $1,800–$2,200, with tax-free stipends for eligible travelers
• Housing, per diem, and licensure reimbursement
• Weekly pay: $46–$54+/hour, depending on travel status and qualifications
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide speech-language therapy in both individual and group settings
• Conduct evaluations and assist with eligibility decisions
• Develop, implement, and update IEPs in alignment with Louisiana guidelines
• Work collaboratively with educators, parents, and school staff
• Maintain clear, timely documentation and service records
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
• Active Louisiana SLP License (or eligibility for licensure)
• CCC-SLP preferred; strong CF applicants are welcome
• Prior experience in a school setting is a plus
• Must pass background and fingerprint screening
