About the position

The ISO 9001 / QA Specialist at Dominion Engineering, Inc. (DEI) plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation and maintenance of the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) and elements of the nuclear QA program. This position involves collaboration with the Director of Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with quality standards and facilitate internal and external audits. The specialist will also be responsible for curating the Condition Reporting and Corrective Action Report (CAR) system, developing QMS procedures, and providing project-specific quality support.

Responsibilities
• Curate DEI's Condition Reporting and Corrective Action Report (CAR) system, working with engineers to track and resolve reported conditions.

• Support and eventually lead internal audits of DEI's quality programs and external audits/assessments of select suppliers.

• Develop QMS procedures for key DEI processes or support technical staff in such development.

• Support and help drive internal QMS functions, including Management Review Meetings and tracking of quality metrics.

• Provide project-specific support on projects requiring special augmented quality controls.

Requirements
• Associate's Degree or greater, preferably in a technical/science field.

• Up to 5 years of industry experience in quality assurance or related fields.

• In-depth familiarity with the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standard or similar quality management system.
,
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
,
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
,
• Competence using standard MS Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
,
• Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time for customer/supplier visits.
,
• Ability to pass a drug screening test and background security investigation.
,
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Nice-to-haves
• Prior work experience in the US commercial nuclear power industry or DOE facilities.

• Familiarity with procurement basics in the nuclear industry.

• Experience performing quality assurance audits or supplier assessments.
