Your Overall Responsibilities

• Be up to date on how our platform works

• Participate in training and community events such as townhalls

Standard Working Hours
• The standard working week is 40 hours. The standard working week is 40 hours. The core office hours are from 9am to 6pm (GMT+8), Monday through Friday.
• This arrangement is subject to change based on job scope requirements. For example, if a project is in a critical stage and a request for an “all hands on deck” is made by the leaders of the company, you are expected to make necessary arrangements so that you are able to pull through along with the rest of the company.
• If you need to step away from your work, please discuss with your Project Manager and Community Managers to enable smooth planning.

Dual Employment

Subject to the prior written approval of the Company, you are expected to devote your full energy to the work at SUPA and are not permitted to accept employment from outside sources. In return, SUPA will devote our resources to build you as a trained professional with the possibility of going beyond data annotation and onto professional roles, such as Project Management.

Data Annotator (Full Time)
About the Role

As a full-time Data Annotator at SUPA, you play a vital role in labelling high-quality data that powers machine learning models and drives the development of cutting-edge technology. You’ll be supported by our Delivery Team, including Project Managers, Talent and Partnership, to ensure client projects are completed with both quality and speed in mind.

Our full-time annotators are often the first to be selected for new projects and proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives that help win over new clients. You’ll have the chance to take on greater responsibilities, including contributing to project setup and even working alongside our internal team.

Responsibilities
• Develop strong fundamental knowledge in annotation terminology and types of tasks while gaining experience with SUPA’s in-house tools and platforms.
• Annotate and label diverse datasets, closely following project-specific guidelines and requirements.
• Maintain consistent high-quality standards, bearing in mind relevant accuracy scores to ensure the reliability of annotated data.
• Complete tasks efficiently by meeting established productivity targets and/or deadlines without compromising on quality.
• Stay well informed of SUPA and our platforms, client projects, and new opportunities via Townhall and other community events.
• Participate in project-related or skill-based training for your professional development.
• Support the Delivery and Tech teams by providing input and feedback on enhancing the overall product and community experience.

Requirements and Skills
• Access to a computer device and a stable internet connection. Computer literacy is preferred but can be developed.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal. We understand English may not be your first language, and we evaluate language abilities based on willingness to learn.
• Able to adapt to changing project requirements, guidelines, or priorities.
• A high level of precision and attention to detail, always striving for excellence.
• A team player and community champion, offering support to peers.
• A strong growth mindset and seeks opportunities to acquire or continuously improve annotation skills and expertise.
• Effective communication skills in asking questions, raising concerns, making suggestions, and sharing feedback.

Working Arrangements
• The standard working week is 40 hours. The core office hours are from 9am to 6pm (GMT+8), Monday through Friday.

If you prefer to start at a later time, please let us know. If you are in a different time zone, we are happy to accommodate your availability too.

This is subject to change based upon job scope requirements. Contingent upon responsibilities, the Contractor may elect to work additional hours at their own discretion without additional fee.
• Willingness to adjust schedule based on project needs and timelines, sometimes including the weekends. (This is not the norm; only when there is an urgent need. You will be informed beforehand.)

Bonus points if you have
• Prior experience in data annotation or related roles.
• Proficiency in more than one language is preferred.
• Domain knowledge, professional expertise, or certifications in industries such as Engineering, Finance, Medicine, Law, or others.
