Under the general direction of the Production Manager, the Assembly Technician II will be responsible for, and assure the consistent production of high-quality medical products. You will perform functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final sub-assemblies. The role involves using sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. The Assembly Technician will determine and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. In this role, you will also work with engineers in conducting experiments. This is a full-time position based at our Goleta, CA location. We are offering up to a $5K sign-on bonus for new external hires!

Responsibilities
• Promotes and nurtures company culture, policies, and guidelines.

• Electromechanical assembly of robot components and subsystems.
,
• Align, fit, insert, fasten, tighten, and seal assembly components.
,
• Preassembly of computers for Control Stations.
,
• Final assembly, integration, formatting, and test of robotic endpoints, viewpoint devices, and control stations.
,
• Debugs and repairs mechanical assemblies.
,
• Develop and improve production procedures, travelers, and processes.
,
• Ensure complete documentation of all assembly and test processes performed.
,
• Contribute to continuous improvement of production processes.
,
• Contribute to maintaining clean and efficient workspace.
,
• Shipping, receiving, and inventory control tasks as required.
,
• Other tasks and duties as defined by supervisor.

Requirements
• High School graduate.
,
• 2 - 4 years' experience with electromechanical systems or equivalent experience.
,
• Experience with production of electromechanical systems.
,
• Knowledge of, and active participant in, Quality Management System (QMS) requirements in production processes.
,
• Computer skills: Functional understanding of basic functions of MS Word and MS Excel.
,
• Demonstrated communication skills.
,
• Demonstrated organizational skills: maintains orderly work cells; contributes to the professional presentation of the Production Area.
