Backend Developer, EU based (Remote)

<p>We are looking for a <strong>Backend Developer&nbsp;</strong>to join a fully remote, EU-based team.<br>The ideal candidate has strong experience in backend development with Java and Spring Boot, demonstrates problem-solving skills and teamwork, and thrives in an Agile environment delivering scalable, high-quality internal applications.</p><div><strong>Details:</strong><br>Location: Full Remote (EU-based)<br>Language: English<br>Contract Type: CZ Contractor</div><div><br></div><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li style="box-sizing: border-box;">Develop and maintain backend services for internal applications</li><li style="box-sizing: border-box;">Contribute to the design and development of new features, providing effective coding solutions to business needs</li><li style="box-sizing: border-box;">Participate in scaling applications globally</li><li style="box-sizing: border-box;">Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines</li><li style="box-sizing: border-box;">Collaborate with front-end developers, business analysts, and product owners to deliver expected outcomes</li><li style="box-sizing: border-box;">Conduct code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing</li><li style="box-sizing: border-box;">Write and maintain technical documentation</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li style="box-sizing: border-box;">Strong experience in backend development using Java and Spring Boot</li><li style="box-sizing: border-box;">Familiarity with Kotlin programming language</li><li style="box-sizing: border-box;">Familiarity with Apache Wicket framework</li><li style="box-sizing: border-box;">Strong understanding of SQL</li><li style="box-sizing: border-box;">Experience with CI/CD tools, specifically Jenkins</li><li style="box-sizing: border-box;">Proficiency with GitHub for version control</li><li style="box-sizing: border-box;">Basic understanding of front-end technologies, particularly React (optional)</li><li style="box-sizing: border-box;">Ability to navigate and operate RHEL OS</li><li style="box-sizing: border-box;">Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code</li><li style="box-sizing: border-box;">Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li><li style="box-sizing: border-box;">Experience with developing and maintaining RESTful APIs</li><li style="box-sizing: border-box;">Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies</li><li style="box-sizing: border-box;">Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment</li><li style="box-sizing: border-box;">Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field</li></ul><p><strong>Nice to have:</strong></p><ul><li style="box-sizing: border-box;">Experience with Tomcat</li></ul><p><br></p>
