We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. In this role, you’ll own many of the day-to-day accounting operations, build with financial reporting, and ensure that our records are accurate and up to date. \n Your Impact<ul><li>Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable</li><li>Prepare and review accurate client invoices in accordance with contract terms, ensuring timely billing and compliance with revenue recognition policies</li><li>Prepare monthly accounting journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations</li><li>Maintain the general ledger and perform month end, quarterly and year-end close processes</li><li>Support the preparation of financial reports and statements</li><li>Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions</li><li>Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation</li><li>Process team member expense reports and reimbursements</li><li>Manage sales tax collection, filing, and compliance across applicable jurisdictions, ensuring accurate administration and timely remittance.</li><li>Help ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures</li><li>Oversee continuous process improvement projects for areas of responsibility</li><li>Assist with audits and other ad hoc projects as needed</li></ul> About You<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field</li><li>3+ years of relevant experience in accounting or finance</li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar)</li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills</li><li>Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Excellent communication skills</li><li>Familiarity with GAAP principles</li><li>Experience with financial systems or ERP platforms</li></ul> Benefits<ul><li>Health insurance (medical, dental, vision) with 100% of employee premiums covered</li><li>Unlimited PTO</li><li>Flexible, remote WFH culture</li><li>Access to the iconic Hearst Tower & its facilities in NYC (should you choose to ever be in person)</li><li>Based on previous experience and skillset, the starting base salary for this position is $80,000 - $100,000</li></ul> \nYou don’t need to meet every qualification listed to apply—we value potential, curiosity, and diverse perspectives.
