<p><strong>Location: </strong>Arlington, VA (NTC Headquarters, 2231 Crystal Drive, Suite 800). This is primarily an on-site position. <p>INTECON, LLC is seeking highly motivated and experienced Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to provide direct analytic and advisory support to the Department of Defense’s Narcotics and Transnational Crime Support Center (NTC). SMEs will deliver specialized expertise in counternarcotics (CN), counterterrorism (CT), counter-threat finance (CTF), and counter–transnational organized crime (C-TOC) missions, advising NTC leadership and supporting interagency partners such as DoJ, DEA, DHS/HSI, FBI, Treasury, and others in conducting complex global investigations and operations.</p>
<p><strong>Roles and Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul><li>Serve as a senior advisor to the NTC Director, Steering Committees, Senior Staff, and Branch Chiefs on CN, CT, CTF, and C-TOC mission areas.</li><li>Provide expert recommendations on evolving policy, strategy, operations, and investigatory efforts across interagency and DoD partners.</li><li>Conduct outreach and liaison with interagency stakeholders, international partners, academia, NGOs, and the private sector to foster collaboration and information sharing.</li><li>Identify gaps, redundancies, and operational risks in analytic or operational capabilities; recommend mitigation strategies to leadership.</li><li>Deliver briefings, presentations, speeches, and reports to senior officials, partner organizations, and visiting delegations.</li><li>Monitor and interpret U.S. and foreign partner CN, CT, CTF, and TOC policy, providing analysis of impacts to NTC missions.</li><li>Provide advisory support for special projects, strategic initiatives, and high-level engagements, as directed by NTC leadership.</li><li>Assist in training and mentoring DoD, IC, and LEA personnel in CN/CT/CTF/C-TOC mission sets and regulatory frameworks.</li><li>Contribute to the development of communications materials, operational planning, and interagency coordination documents.</li><li>Support evaluation of operations, investigations, and interagency projects to ensure alignment with NTC objectives and mission success.</li></ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>
<p><strong>Education:</strong></p>
<p>Bachelor’s degree in Intelligence Studies, Security Studies, Criminal Justice, International Affairs, Political Science, Finance, or a related discipline from an accredited U.S. institution.</p>
<p><strong>Experience:</strong></p>
<ul><li>12+ years of professional experience in counternarcotics, counterterrorism, counter-threat finance, or transnational organized crime missions, with at least 2 years advising senior leaders or supporting interagency operations.</li><li>OR 17 years of directly related experience (including substitution for prior military service at the senior level in intelligence, counter-drug, or law enforcement operations).</li></ul>
<p><strong>Must Have Experience With:</strong></p>
<ul><li>Advising DoD, IC, and law enforcement senior leaders on operational/strategic CN, CT, and C-TOC efforts.</li><li>Providing analytic and policy recommendations on transnational networks and illicit finance.</li><li>Conducting liaison and outreach across multiple interagency and international partners.</li><li>Delivering briefings, reports, and operational recommendations to senior decision-makers.</li><li>Supporting law enforcement investigations, regulatory actions, or international counternarcotics operations.</li><li>Understanding DoD/IC policies, intelligence oversight requirements, and interagency coordination processes.</li></ul>
<p><strong>Preferred Certifications and Training:</strong></p>
<ul><li>DoD/IC intelligence oversight training.</li><li>Interagency coordination or law enforcement liaison certifications/training.</li><li>Counter-threat finance, anti–money laundering, or financial intelligence analysis training.</li></ul>
<p><strong>Proficiency In:</strong></p>
