Retail Warehouse Supervisor

About the position

Responsibilities

• Direct daily activities and supervise warehouse employees.
• Participate in performance management activities with the Store Manager.
• Create work schedules for warehouse staff.
• Unload, check-in, stock, and organize merchandise in the warehouse and yard.
• Provide customer service and product information to customers.
• Load merchandise for customers.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse and yard areas.
• Supervise and train new warehouse employees.
• Maintain forklifts and delivery trucks according to retail standards.
• Operate forklifts regularly and coordinate customer deliveries.
• Assemble store merchandise as directed by managers.
• Assist in-store operations as needed.
• Open and close warehouse and yard areas.
• Communicate product outages and special customer situations to managers.
• Attend continuing education courses on leadership and supervision.

Requirements

• Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers.
• Skill to operate a forklift, tractor, and other facility equipment safely and efficiently.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate a computer and other automated office machines.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Skill at product recognition.
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
