As a member of the team, you will support our prime contractor’s Agile Solution Factory (ASF), which is a passionate team of industry-leading personnel supporting the best practices in Agile Software Development. The ability to be adaptable and to work constructively with a technically diverse and geographically separated team is crucial.The ideal candidate should be an experienced, fast-learning, organized, and productive technical writer who can adapt to an environment running a mature Scrum-based Agile software development program. The Tech Writer will embed directly within a product-oriented software team and will be responsible for all documentation requirements are met concurrent to the development of software.Responsibilities, but not limited to:Technical project documentation, reports, brochures, manuals and training material documentation for a wide range of usesIterative updates to product user manuals, including graphics, formatting, editing, and the deployment of all material to productionConform to all project standards to ensure high quality documentationManage project team documentation repository to ensure effective file managementDevelop copy that adheres to best practice regarding document structure and logic flow. Excellent written and oral communications skills; must be able to interface effectively with SMEs and managers of all levelsProvide regular input to ongoing team workload estimation effortsEnsure completion of all committed documentation tasks in parallel with software code development with frequent refactoring and tuning of artifactsDevelop new and refine existing technical writing processes to enhance quality and productivityRequired Qualifications:Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass background investigation, criteria include but are not limited to:3-year check for felony convictions1-year check for illegal drug use1-year check for misconduct such as theft or fraudExpert in Microsoft Word, including template designExperience with Adobe Acrobat Pro, Adobe FrameMaker or InDesign, and Adobe PhotoshopKnowledge of document and repository management practices, including using SharePoint, Team Foundation Server, or similar toolsStrong attention to detail and collaboration skillsAbility to interface with various disciplines and personalities, as well as work independentlyStrong contextual understanding of technical terminologyDesired Qualifications:Experience with desktop publishing, automated work processing, and other digital information technology applications, particularly electronic publishingExperience relating to engineering and maintenance drawings and/or operational procedures to include the knowledge and ability to interpret, absorb, and synthesize large quantities of computer system and application-related informationUnderstanding of all elements of the software development life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, CM, quality assurance, and release managementExperience editing technical documentation in an Agile Scrum environmentAbility to apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideasXenith Solutions LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business founded in 2019.
