What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Receive and respond to calls from patients and/or family members, assessing problems and delivering compassionate care
- Assess patient status and intervene according to the patient's condition and established protocols
- Document calls accurately within the electronic medical records system, ensuring timely processing of clinical records
- Coordinate with on-call nurses to provide high-quality nursing care and schedule assessments as necessary
- Facilitate orientation for new personnel and maintain compliance with educational requirements for the role

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in good standing with no restrictions in all states of practice; compact licensure required
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience as a Registered Nurse with at least one year of direct patient care in a hospice, home health, or oncology setting
- Knowledge of basic triage protocols and best practices for patient care in crisis situations
- Exceptional communication skills for patient assessment and education
- Ability to maintain productivity standards and complete ongoing education to ensure competency
