POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a results-driven Marketing Director to temporarily lead our Marketing and Merchandising departments, driving collaboration, innovation, and performance across all channels. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven background in Google advertising management, conversion rate optimization (CRO), customer experience (CX), graphic design, and email marketing automation. This role requires a unique blend of creative vision, data-driven decision-making, and strong leadership to elevate our brand and maximize revenue opportunities.

THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION

Key Responsibilities:

Department Leadership & Collaboration
• Oversee and lead the Marketing and Merchandising departments, aligning both teams on strategic goals and campaign execution.
• Facilitate strong cross-functional collaboration to ensure cohesive brand messaging, merchandising alignment, and optimized customer journeys.
• Mentor, manage, and develop team members to achieve KPIs and professional growth.

Marketing Strategy & Execution
• Develop and implement comprehensive multi-channel marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and retention.
• Plan and execute high-performing campaigns across paid channels (including Google Ads), email.
• Oversee optimization of email campaigns and automated flows (e.g., welcome series, cart recovery, personal creation of weekly emails).
• Collaborate with product and merchandising teams to highlight seasonal trends, product launches, and promotional efforts.

Digital Advertising & CRO
• Lead Google Ads strategy and execution, including search, display, shopping, and retargeting.
• Monitor campaign performance and optimize for ROI, ROAS, and CAC.
• Use A/B testing and user behavior data to continually improve conversion rates and user engagement across digital touchpoints.

Graphic Design & Creative Direction
• Guide visual and creative direction for all marketing materials, digital assets, and product merchandising campaigns.
• Oversee or contribute to in-house graphic design efforts, ensuring brand consistency and high aesthetic standards.

Customer Experience (CX)
• Analyze and optimize the customer journey from first touch through post-purchase, identifying friction points and opportunities for improvement.
• Leverage data and feedback to enhance user experience, streamline purchasing paths, and build customer loyalty.

Analytics & Reporting
• Set clear KPIs and provide regular performance reports to executive leadership.
• Use data insights to refine marketing strategies and guide decision-making.
• Monitor trends, competitor activity, and industry best practices to stay ahead of the curve.

Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing cross-functional teams.
• Strong background in Google Ads (Search, Display, Shopping, and Performance Max).
• Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms (e.g. Attentive, Klaviyo, or similar) and flow automation.
• Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva)
• Demonstrated success in conversion rate optimization (CRO) and enhancing customer experience (CX).
• Deep understanding of and experience with eCommerce metrics, customer lifecycle, and omnichannel strategies.
• Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills (Bonus):
• Experience with Shopify
• Familiarity with UX/UI principles and website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
• Prior experience managing or collaborating with merchandising teams.

Compensation & Benefits:
• Competitive salary at $80K
• Work from home, M-F 9-5, EST

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
