<p>NeoWork is looking for a detail-oriented and fast-learning <strong>Bookkeeper</strong> with strong experience using <strong>QuickBooks Desktop</strong> (not QuickBooks Online). The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving processes and can maintain accurate financial records while handling client communications professionally via email.</p><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></h3><ul> <li> Manage and maintain financial records using <strong>QuickBooks Desktop</strong>. </li> <li> Accurately categorize and enter all business transactions. </li> <li> Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure accuracy. </li> <li> Build complete <strong>balance sheets</strong> from scratch, including all company liabilities and assets. </li> <li> Review and update financial records regularly to ensure consistency. </li> <li> Communicate professionally with clients via <strong>email</strong> regarding financial matters, document requests, and reporting updates. </li> <li> Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial documentation and reporting. </li> <li> Work independently and adapt to changes or ambiguity in workflows and priorities.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>3+ years of solid experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting</li> <li>Proven experience using <strong>QuickBooks Desktop</strong> (not QuickBooks Online). </li> <li>Strong written communication skills (email-based client interaction required). </li> <li>High attention to detail and accuracy. </li> <li>Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. </li> <li>Fast learner and comfortable working in environments with minimal structure or evolving processes. </li> <li>Knowledge of balance sheet creation, reconciliations, and general bookkeeping practices.</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>We offer health insurance for contractors</li></ul><ul> <li>Holiday Extra Pay</li> <li>The work hours generally align with standard business hours in the US, with some potential flexibility depending on the client's needs.</li> <li>This is a 100% home-based position</li> <li>We prioritize the mental health of our team members and offer mental health days to support their well-being.</li> <li>In addition to the base salary, performance-based incentives are provided.</li> <li>There is an annual review and appraisal process in place.</li> <li>There are ample opportunities for professional growth and advancement within the company.</li> </ul>
