About the position

The position involves supporting the effective use and functionality of automated equipment within a fully automated Distribution Center. The role requires diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical issues, ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements, and performing preventative maintenance on facility equipment and systems.

Responsibilities
• Support the effective use and functionality of automated equipment in the Distribution Center.
,
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues.
,
• Test, replace, or repair electrical systems including single phase or three phase systems up to 600 volts.
,
• Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PLC ladder logic.
,
• Complete testing of equipment and instrumentation systems including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, refrigeration, and water treatment chemicals.
,
• Ensure effective preventative maintenance plans and schedules for all facility equipment and systems.
,
• Manage the inventory of spare parts and maintain CMMS/EAM system on repairs required and performed.
,
• Oversee maintenance, modifications, and upgrades of Materials Handling Equipment and Automated Picking System controls.
,
• Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks to ensure continued productivity with warehouse operations.

Requirements
• Technical vocational training or equivalent combination of experience and education.
,
• 1 to 2 years of related and progressively responsible experience, with a strong electrical background preferred.
,
• Strong technical and operational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment and systems.
,
• Ability to read and interpret CAD layouts, IPB diagrams, and electrical circuitry diagrams.
,
• Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
,
• Working knowledge of computer systems and personal computers, including hardware installation and setup.

Nice-to-haves
• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) preferred.

• Experience with MHE software such as RSLogix, Sort Director, GSMi, IPoint, Flex Sort.
