We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Family Birth Place team. As an RN in our birth center, you will have the opportunity to support and guide families through one of the most special moments of their lives - the birth of a child. This role requires a skilled and empathetic individual who is passionate about women's health and providing exceptional care. Provide nursing care to expectant mothers and newborns, including monitoring vital signs, administering medication, and assisting with labor and delivery.
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to create individualized birth plans and ensure the safety and well-being of mother and baby.
Educate and support expectant mothers and their families throughout the pregnancy, labor, and postpartum periods.
Keep accurate and detailed records of patient care, including birth outcomes and postpartum recovery.
Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations, such as complications during labor or emergency deliveries.
Provide emotional support and guidance to expectant mothers and their families, including addressing any concerns or fears they may have.
Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on current trends and practices in women's health and childbirth.
Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their voices and preferences are heard and respected.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and their families, following infection control protocols and proper sanitation procedures.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure a seamless transition from birth center to postpartum care.
Continuously monitor and assess patient progress and make adjustments to care plans as needed.
Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure a positive and supportive experience.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interactions with patients and their families.
Act as a role model for patient-centered care and promote a culture of compassion and excellence within the birth center.
