Job Title: Peer Mentor
Supervisor: Ren Evans / Natalia Sucre
Pay Rate: $15/hour
Deadline: Applications ongoing up to week 7 of the term
Total Hours per week: A maximum of 5 hours a week
Location: Remote

Job Responsibilities:
• Conduct outreach to students interested in receiving mentoring
• Help students remotely with questions large and small such as balancing work/life responsibilities, working with Moodle, setting goals, tackling an assignment and utilizing support resources at MCNY
• Attend at least two professional development discussions over the term
• Attend occasional virtual team meetings over the term
• Document all interactions with students
• Promote the peer mentor program to students
• Assist with peer mentor program outreach events
• Perform other duties as determined by supervisors
Qualifications:
• Currently in the second semester (or higher) of a degree program at Metropolitan College of New York
• 3.0 GPA
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong Office 365 skills
• Strong desire to help others and to work on facilitating learning and personal growth
• Ability to multitask and be flexible regarding duties and assignments
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team Apply tot his job
