Interacts with medical staff, nursing, ancillary departments, provider offices, and outside organizations.</p><p></p><p>Department: Physician Coding</p><p>Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week</p><p>Required: High School Diploma, CPC, Certified Professional Medical Auditor</p><p>Pay: Based on experience, starting at $23.87</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><u><b>Responsibilities</b></u></p>Assists coders with coding questions., Conducts the collection and<br>reporting of provider and<br>coder audit results and<br>education. Works with coders<br>and providers to ensure<br>appropriate documentation for<br>clinic services. Reports results<br>to Coding Supervisor - Professional., Demonstrates ability to code all types of encounters., Meets quality standards of<br>having 95% of diagnoses and<br>procedures appropriately<br>and/or correctly coded.<br>Ensures data quality and<br>optimum reimbursement<br>allowable under the federal<br>and state payment systems., Refers trend patterns of<br>coding and documentation to<br>Coding Supervisor –<br>Professional., Responsible for coding quality<br>audits for E/M Audit Program.<br>Analyze and confirm assigned<br>encounters for provider’s<br>selection of EM code level<br>utilizing EM code level<br>selection auditing tool are<br>accurate.
