About the position

The Learning and Development Manager at Bristol Myers Squibb is responsible for executing the Devens Biologics Site Training Program. This role involves analyzing, developing, implementing, and evaluating training solutions to ensure compliance and readiness among employees and contract staff. The manager will also mentor staff, provide excellent customer service, and collaborate with various teams to enhance training strategies.

Responsibilities
• Execute site training strategy by determining learning needs and priorities.

• Collaborate with functional area representatives and subject matter experts to develop and implement learning strategies.
,
• Use the ADDIE model to analyze performance gaps and design effective training solutions.
,
• Provide in-person and virtual facilitation of training and meetings.
,
• Support team growth through knowledge sharing and identifying competency gaps.
,
• Serve as the Learning Management System (LMS) subject matter expert.
,
• Design curricula for appropriate timing and delivery for various audiences.
,
• Oversee and report training compliance metrics.
,
• Monitor and escalate issues impacting team goals.
,
• Conduct Training Impact Assessments to guide training strategy.
,
• Define key performance indicators for training solutions and evaluate progress.
,
• Collaborate with the Extended Training Team to enhance onboarding structures.
,
• Provide guidance to leadership on training programs and curricula.
,
• Participate in internal and external audits representing Learning and Development.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Human Performance Improvement, Business or related field.

• 2-5 years experience in a pharma manufacturing environment.
,
• Certification in Six Disciplines of Learning, Learning and Development or Instructional Design (or obtained in first 6 months in role).
,
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in learning and development within the biotech/pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
,
• At least 3-5 years designing and implementing programs from needs analysis through evaluation.
,
• A minimum of 3 years of experience providing adult learning and facilitation.
,
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical technical training curriculum design.
,
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
