Overview

Northwest Federal Credit Union is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Digital Marketing Specialist to support the development and execution of digital campaigns that enhance brand visibility and member engagement. This role is responsible for coordinating day-to-day digital content, social media activity, email marketing, and basic design tasks to support organizational marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and passionate about digital storytelling and campaign execution.

Responsibilities

Email Marketing Support
• Build and send emails using NWFCU’s marketing automation system
• Manage audience segmentation and campaign calendar in collaboration with the manager
• Perform basic A/B testing and track performance metrics

Digital & Paid Media Execution
• Assist with digital ad campaign setup and reporting (Google Ads, Meta, etc.)
• Monitor performance metrics and flag issues or optimization opportunities
• Maintain and update website content using the CMS

Social Media Coordination
• Draft and schedule posts across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and TikTok
• Monitor and respond to messages and comments, escalating issues as needed
• Source and organize social content (photos, videos, stories) from internal teams

Creative Production
• Design basic graphics using Canva or Adobe tools for social media, web, and email
• Collaborate with creative staff on branded campaigns and promotions

Collaboration & Administration
• Track and report campaign KPIs using tools like Google Analytics or native platform data
• Help organize digital assets and maintain content libraries
• Stay up to date with digital marketing trends and tools
• Adhere to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations, Internal Audit and all related Credit Union policies and procedures

Qualifications

Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in digital marketing or communications
• Familiarity with email platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Mailchimp)
• Working knowledge of social media platforms and digital advertising
• Some experience with graphic design (Canva, Adobe Photoshop, etc.)
• Excellent communication, organization, and project coordination skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
• Must be able to work Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
• Ability to work effectively on-site in our Herndon, VA headquarters and equally effectively remotely

Preferred
• Experience in financial services or regulated industries
• Working knowledge of SEO/SEM principles
• Familiarity with video editing tools (iMovie, Adobe Premiere, etc.)
