At Sage Clinical RCM, we specialize in coding and revenue cycle support for outpatient providers, including Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs). We’re growing quickly and are looking for experienced coders who are accurate, independent, and committed to quality work in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Position Summary:
We are seeking an Ambulatory Surgery Coder to support coding operations for outpatient surgical procedures across a variety of specialties. This role involves reviewing clinical documentation and assigning accurate codes in accordance with current regulations and client-specific protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

· Review operative reports and assign CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II codes

· Apply correct coding principles based on documentation and payer-specific rules

· Maintain coding accuracy and productivity standards as defined by Sage Clinical

· Query providers when documentation lacks specificity or clarity

· Stay current with official coding guidelines and client updates

Requirements:

· Valid coding certification through AAPC (e.g., CPC, COC) or AHIMA (e.g., CCS, RHIT, RHIA)

· 2+ years of relevant experience coding surgical procedures in an ASC or outpatient surgical setting

· Experience with common surgical specialties such as orthopedics, GI, ophthalmology, ENT, or pain management is helpful

· Ability to interpret operative reports and clinical documentation with a high degree of accuracy

· Comfortable using client-provided EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech, eClinicalWorks – systems will vary)

Preferred Qualifications:

· Prior experience working remotely in a production coding environment

· Experience coding across multiple specialties in an ASC setting

· Strong time management skills and ability to work independently

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
