Submits Reports To: Supervising BCBA/Clinical Director
Location: Remote (Maryland credentialed candidates only)
Schedule: Flexible and open to discussion. (< 6-month contract, with potential extension if desired)

Position Summary
The Remote BCaBA supports the clinical team by overseeing the implementation of ABA programs for assigned clients. This role provides virtual supervision, documentation support, data review, and program maintenance, all in alignment with funder compliance. The BCaBA is also responsible for assessments and accurate client billing.
Overview What You’ll Do:
• Provide oversight of BTs/RBTs through virtual platforms
• Assist in program development and maintenance using naturalistic and play-based interventions (we are currently phasing out of DTT here)
• Conduct data review, program updates, and session fidelity
• Collaborate with BCBAs and the clinical team
• Contribute to joy-based learning by ensuring treatment aligns with Sankofa’s principles: culturally grounded, dignity-affirming, and affirming of neurodivergence
• Support parent training/guidance through 1:1 sessions
Key Responsibilities
Oversight & Consultation (50%)
• Conduct virtual 97155 sessions with RBTs (10-20% per client rate of 97153)
• Provide written performance feedback in our data collection system
• Document notes in alignment with BACB and funder requirements
• Communicate regularly with the staff BCBA to review data trends and troubleshoot clinical concerns
Program Maintenance (40%)
• Review client data weekly to evaluate progress on goals using treatment planning codes as allowed by the funder. If not allowed, conduct via 97155 session.
• Draft or edit teaching procedures based on skill acquisition or behavior reduction needs
• Assist in care plan updates
• Ensure visual supports and task materials are aligned with culturally affirming and neurodivergent-affirming practices
Documentation & Administrative Tasks (10%)
• Log all supervision, training, and planning time in our current documentation systems (e.g., HiRasmus, TPMS, Google Workspace)
• Communicate with the clinical director regarding any challenges that impact client progress or RBT performance
• Support occasional case reviews
Who We Need:
• A current BCaBA in good standing with the BACB
• Minimum 6 months of ABA experience (school, clinic, or home setting)
• Experience supervising or supporting RBTs
• Skilled at communicating with warmth, clarity, and cultural humility
• Experienced with naturalistic teaching models (PRT, NET, ESDM, etc.)
• Grounded, organized, and committed to low-ego, high-impact work
• Familiar with Medicaid documentation and standards is a plus
• Comfortable with remote work and using tools like Google Workspace, and video conferencing
This is a temporary position with the potential for extension or future collaboration(would be required to move from 1099 to W-2 employee, if extending beyond 6 months). Perfect for a BCaBA looking to pick up a few hours a week while staying grounded in work that aligns with your values.
Physical & Technical Requirements
• This is a fully remote role, but requires:
• Stable internet connection
• Video capability for supervision and virtual meetings
• Ability to sit for extended periods while reviewing data or watching session videos
• Some sessions may be recorded and require asynchronous review
Compensation
• Hourly pay based on experience
• Position is temporary, with possible extension depending on individual, organizational needs, and performance
