Our Catastrophe team is currently seeking experienced Property Adjusters for in-office claim handling. This role is crucial as it involves managing claims with low to moderate complexity, ensuring that our members receive the support they need during challenging times. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance from one of our offices located in San Antonio, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Chesapeake, VA, or Tampa, FL. After completing the initial training in-office, employees will have the flexibility to work from home two days a week, promoting a hybrid work model. Please note that relocation assistance is not available for this position, and multiple openings are available. As a Property Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and settling property insurance claims while adhering to defined guidelines and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong virtual estimating skills, particularly for low to moderate severity losses, and the ability to work effectively in a telephone-focused environment without physical inspections. You will engage with members empathetically, recognizing their life events and providing support throughout the claims process. Your responsibilities will include managing a caseload of claims, partnering with vendors and internal teams, conducting thorough investigations, and maintaining accurate documentation of each claim. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with at least one year of relevant experience in customer service, military leadership, or the construction/insurance industry. Knowledge of estimating tools such as Xactimate, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment are essential. Additionally, candidates must be willing to travel up to 25% of the year and acquire an insurance adjuster license within 90 days of employment. Responsibilities
• Proactively manage assigned claims caseload comprised of claims with low to moderate complexity damages.

• Partner with vendors and internal business partners to facilitate claims resolution.

• Investigate claim damages by conducting research from various sources, including the insured and third parties.

• Identify coverage concerns and determine coverage through analyzing investigation information.
,
• Negotiate claims settlements and coordinate with management for guidance on assessing settlement amounts.
,
• Maintain accurate and thorough claim file documentation throughout the claims process.
,
• Apply knowledge of estimating technology platforms to prepare and manage property insurance claims estimates.
,
• Recognize and address jurisdictional challenges related to claims.
,
• Support workload surges and catastrophe response operations as needed, including mandatory on-call dates.
,
• Work various types of claims, including those of higher complexity, as assigned.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.

• 1 year of customer service, military leadership, construction related industry/insurance experience and/or experience handling low complexity property claims.

• Knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate or similar tools and platforms.
,
• Demonstrated negotiation, investigation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
,
• Working knowledge and understanding of claims contracts and state laws and regulations.
,
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task, including navigating through multiple business applications.

• Acquisition and maintenance of insurance adjuster license within 90 days and 3 attempts.
