About the position
UPMC Western Behavioral Health at Safe Harbor serves Erie County residents with a variety of mental health and substance use concerns. The Supervisor of Behavioral Health Therapy will lead a small team working with individuals experiencing the initial onset of psychosis symptoms using an evidence-based model of team-based treatment. In this role, you will provide therapy to clients and families and lead clinical treatment groups. You will also be responsible for supervising our Peer Services team. The ideal candidate for this position must be licensed (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) and have prior behavioral health and supervision experience. The office is located at 1330 West 26th Street in Erie, PA, with parking provided at no cost on-site. The dress code is business casual, and the schedule is Monday through Friday, daylight, with the potential for flexibility and occasional work-from-home opportunities. In this supervisory role, you will assess the need for additional services with the clinical team to determine the appropriateness of recommendations. You will refer patients to other levels of care, community-based self-help programs for recovery, or other community social or human services as needed. You will take a lead role in providing staff in-service training to the treatment team and will be involved in system-wide training and education initiatives outside of the normal clinical responsibilities. Collaboration with leadership to complete annual training needs assessments per program guidelines is also a key responsibility. You will alert management of issues by meeting regularly with the director to review cases, clinical problems, and staff issues. Directing and assigning daily work to all behavioral health therapists, performing annual performance reviews, and enforcing unit and personnel policies and procedures will be part of your duties. You will provide oversight and, as appropriate, conduct/document assessments, create treatment plans, assess changing needs of patients per guidelines for outpatient and/or partial hospitalization programs, participate in treatment team meetings, provide individual and group therapy, and complete clinical documentation on the same day of service delivery. Additionally, you will maintain daily records of clinical productivity in the program as instructed and provide operational support by participating in the recruitment process for new employees, coordinating the flow of new admissions, and supervising the daily clinical activities of the program.

Requirements
• Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education in school counseling, or related field required.

• Five years of clinical experience diagnosing and treating behavioral and psychiatric conditions required.

• One year of demonstrated progressive leadership experience required.
,
• Knowledge of psychiatric evaluation and assessment process, as well as application of current version of the DSM required.
,
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) or Doctorate in Psychology required.
