Finstock is a Hong Kong–based fintech founded in 2023 that builds AI-driven tools for global investors. After a successful public beta, we are rebuilding our platform with next-gen AI and growing a fully distributed team (currently 11–50 people) across multiple time zones.
What You’ll Do
• Ingest & clean multi-asset data (U.S. equities, FX, crypto) into scalable, analysis-ready datasets.
• Run exploratory data analysis to surface predictive signals for our robo-advisor, copy-trading, and options-pricing engines.
• Develop and automate self-service dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, Grafana, or similar) to track trading KPIs: Sharpe ratio, drawdown, latency, user retention, etc.
• Partner with data scientists to create feature stores, back-test models, and monitor live drift.
• Design and evaluate A/B tests for new indicators, pricing tiers, and onboarding funnels.
• Maintain clear data documentation (lineage, definitions, quality metrics) to support transparency and regulatory compliance.
• Present concise insights in weekly async sprint reviews with stakeholders across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas.
What We’re Looking For
• 3+ years in a data-centric role (Data/BI/Quant Analyst) within fintech, capital markets, or high-growth tech.
• Advanced SQL plus strong Python (pandas, NumPy, Jupyter) for data wrangling and analysis.
• Hands-on with modern data-warehouse / lake platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, etc.).
• Solid statistical foundation: hypothesis testing, regression, time-series analysis, experiment design.
• Portfolio of dashboards or analytical reports that influenced product or trading decisions.
• Excellent written and spoken English; comfortable working async and independently.
Nice-to-Have
• Familiarity with market micro-structure or tick-level data.
• Exposure to ML pipelines (feature engineering, monitoring) or MLOps tooling.
• Experience with TradingView Pine Script, MT5 APIs, or brokerage integrations.
• Cantonese, Mandarin, or Vietnamese language skills.
Contract & Compensation
• Duration: 10 months (target start early August 2025).
• Hours: 25–35 hrs/week on average; flexible scheduling with overlap for two weekly stand-ups.
• Pay: Competitive hourly rate (USD) processed through Deel; invoices approved bi-weekly.
• Equipment & Data: Monthly stipend for market-data subscriptions and development tools.
• Time-off: Unpaid, self-managed; coordinate in advance to meet sprint milestones.
