Your and your team’s insights will directly influence strategic decisions, empowering Smallpdf to continue its path of innovation and customer-centric development.<h2>What You’ll Do:</h2>Transform Analytics into a Strategic Partner<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Lead the transition from reactive reporting to proactive, business-driven insights.</li><li>Establish the use of AI across our analytics approach, ensuring data supports smarter, faster decisions.</li><li>Educate teams and leadership on data literacy and instill a mindset where insights fuel everyday business.</li><li>Set up processes and structures that embed analytics into the core of our operations.</li></ul>Unlock Business & Customer Value<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Deeply re-analyze the business to generate insights from behavioral and operational data.</li><li>Identify opportunities for product, marketing, and monetization improvements through data-driven analysis.</li><li>Ensure insights are translated into clear, actionable strategies for leadership and cross-functional teams.</li><li>Act as a “second set of eyes” on performance, ensuring business health is consistently monitored.</li></ul>Elevate Teams & Structures<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Coach, hire, and scale a team of analytics professionals, growing both capabilities and impact.</li><li>Create a balanced team that combines business acumen with technical strength.</li><li>Collaborate with Data Engineering and Platform teams to ensure a robust, scalable data setup.</li><li>Build processes that balance stakeholder requests with strategic priorities.</li></ul><h2>What We’re Looking For:</h2>Experience & Background<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>8+ years of experience in Analytics, Insights, or Business Intelligence, ideally within SaaS/subscription or consumer-facing businesses.</li><li>Strong track record of turning data into business outcomes (growth, retention, monetization).</li><li>Experience in commercial analytics, consumer insights, or data consulting; consultancy + in-house experience is a plus.</li><li>Leadership experience in growing and managing data teams, including cross-functional collaboration.</li><li>Familiarity with data platforms and engineering principles (enough to collaborate, not to code).</li><li>Degree in Business Engineering, Economics, Marketing Intelligence, or similar - combining analytical rigor with commercial acumen. </li></ul>Mindset & Skills<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Curiosity & proactivity: constantly spotting anomalies and digging deeper.</li><li>Business-first perspective: data is a tool to drive outcomes, not an end in itself.</li><li>Pragmatic, data-agnostic problem solver - focused on outcomes, not just methods.</li><li>Strong communicator: able to simplify complex insights, influence leadership, and inspire teams.</li><li>Stakeholder management: prioritization, negotiation, and challenging business requests.</li></ul><h2>Why Join Us</h2>This is a unique opportunity to reshape the role of Data Analytics in our company, moving from reactive reporting to a strategic business driver.
