About the position
The File Room Assistant at the Oklahoma State Department of Education is responsible for performing administrative and confidential secretarial duties, primarily focusing on scanning historical documents to transition the office to digital filing. Responsibilities
• Organize, sort, and categorize documents within the file room for accessibility and retrieval accuracy.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement within the file room.

• Utilize scanning equipment to digitize historical documents accurately and effectively.

• Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information in documents.

• Maintain accurate records of scanned documents, including metadata and indexing information.

• Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude at all times.

• Commit to regular and reliable in-person attendance to ensure quality teamwork and productivity.

• Identify and address evolving needs and challenges in the education landscape.

• Optimize processes and eliminate redundancies to enhance productivity.

• Provide outstanding customer service and create positive experiences.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED (official transcripts required upon hire).

• 1 year of experience in customer service or clerical work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
