Position Summary
The Social Media & Digital Advertising Associate will manage and grow our digital presence through compelling content creation, strategic advertising campaigns, and analytics-driven performance tracking. This role is ideal for a creative self-starter who understands the nuances of digital engagement in the nonprofit space and has a passion for community and the environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, schedule, and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other platforms
• Design and implement paid digital ad campaigns (Meta Ads, Google Ads, etc.)
• Track performance metrics and provide monthly analytics reports with actionable insights
• Support email marketing efforts with occasional content creation and segmentation support
• Coordinate with program staff to capture, curate, and repurpose photo/video content
• Monitor trends and adjust strategy to improve engagement, reach, and conversions
• Maintain consistent visual and messaging alignment with brand guidelines
• Engage with followers and support community management in collaboration with internal teams
Qualifications
• 2+ years experience managing social media and/or paid digital advertising (nonprofit or mission-driven preferred)
• Proficiency with digital tools including Meta Business Suite, Canva, Google Ads, and Mailchimp or similar platforms
• Excellent writing and visual storytelling skills
• Experience using analytics tools to guide strategy (e.g. Meta Insights, Google Analytics)
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects independently
• Familiarity with the Mountain West region and its communities a plus
• Commitment to the mission and values of environmental education, equity, and access
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
• Able to write/ type/ communicate
• Primarily indoors in an office setting: sitting and standing for long stretches with using a computer
• Able to sit/stand at a desk for up to 8 hrs
• Have a normal range of vision/hearing/speech
One TSS Responsibilities
• Support institutional and external collaboration of programs, resources, curriculum and staff to efficiently and effectively support TSS mission
• Actively contributes to and practices the TSS values
• Proactively and positively share the TSS mission and program structure with external stakeholders
• Support cross-organizational initiatives
